Shipping & Delivery

We offer free next day delivery to any address in the Republic or Northern Ireland on all of our website orders over €30.* Orders from the UK or beyond will be shipped with DPD. UK customers should receive their orders within 2-3 working days. Please contact us for delivery times outside Ireland and the UK.

*All internet orders are packed & shipped as soon as possible. Any order received before 1pm will be despatched on the same day. Orders after that may be despatched the same day but this is not guaranteed, however we always aim to get your purchase delivered to you in the quickest time possible. Circumstances beyond our control mean deliveries may experience some short delays at certain times of year. We also reserve the right to change these conditions due to unforeseen circumstances or if an item is out of stock or if your products have to be specially ordered in. If there is any issues with your order we will always keep you informed on the progress of your order.

Privacy & Security

Your security is our security, and we take that very seriously. This means we take every precaution necessary to ensure that your purchase details are secure. All of your personal and account details are held on a secure web server, and when you place your order you will be taken there - look for the ‘locked padlock’ symbol in the status bar of your Internet browser. Returns & Replacements

If you wish to return an item for any reason, please contact us before you send it in. Problems can often be resolved via email or telephone and reduces the added financial and environmental cost of extra shipping. If, however, it is necessary to return an item for exchange or refund, please note the following: All returned goods must be in new re-saleable condition, in their original packaging, with labels still attached. Goods must be accompanied by the receipt and a note with your contact details and also the reason for return. Any purchases from our ‘Special Offers’ or ‘Clearance’ sections are not refundable, but can be exchanged. Costs incurred in posting the returned items are not refundable. Goods must be returned within sixty days of receipt. In the interest of hygiene we cannot take items of underwear back for return. Footwear must be as new and have not been worn outside. Climbing gear cannot be returned for safety reasons. If there is a manufacturing fault with your item please contact us with a description of the problem and some pictures where possible. This enables us to offer you the best resolution available. Any of the previous terms do not affect your statutory rights. Any returns for manufacturing faults must be both clean and dry. Wet or dirty items will not be accepted.

Ordering

When you place your order we send you a notification email as soon as our system receives it. You’ll get another stating that it’s being processed and you can be sure that it’s on the way. So, please make sure that your email address is correct. If we have any queries regarding your order we will email or call you on the contact number provided. If the item you have ordered is out of stock, we will let you know as soon as possible. We can either wait till your other item comes into stock or we can send them out separately, if you have ordered multiple items. People make mistakes. If you need to cancel or change your order, please let us know as soon as you can. We like to dispatch our deliveries as quick as we can, so the sooner you let us know the less chance there is of your order being on its way to your door. Changing your order may delay its delivery slightly as we have to repackage it, but this is not always the case. If you need to change anything make sure you have your order details ready when contacting us to ensure we alter your order efficiently as possible.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

We accept all the major credit cards: Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Mastercard Debit, Access, and Visa Electron cards. We also accept PayPal. If you need to pay by cheque or postal order, this can be arranged upon prior agreement, just contact us before you order. Cheques MUST be accompanied by valid check guarantee card with details written on the reverse of the check. A check with a value above that of the guarantee card will be Transaxed, which is our method of rapid check verification. Please, make these items payable to Jack Layden Enterprises Limited.

The prices quoted are those valid at the time of production. Due to circumstances beyond our control, prices may have to be altered up or down, including any alteration to the rate of VAT. VAT does not apply to orders to be shipped outside the EU or other tax-free areas – in these circumstances, goods will be priced without VAT. All prices shown are cash prices. All products shown in this service are subject to availability. All prices on Basecamp.ie are quoted in Euro and include value-added tax (VAT) at the appropriate rate. Your selected delivery address will determine whether or not VAT is applicable. If VAT is not applicable, then this tax will be deducted from your order prior to your card being charged. Your location may render you liable to import, state, local, or other taxes. Such taxes are entirely your responsibility. You must include your billing address as it appears on your credit card statement. Basecamp uses an address verification system to ensure correct billing addresses. Orders with incorrect details will not be processed, for your own security.

Here at Basecamp, we like to treat customers to the occasional promotion. These promotions generally run on a first-come, first served basis and are usually while stocks last. So, if you find yourself not able to add as many of the promotional item to your cart, please remember that the promotion is for everyone, and so limits may be set per customer. If you REALLY need those extra items, contact us, and we might be able to arrange something.

Viewing Orders

If you’ve already ordered, thank you! When you’ve completed your order you can be sure that we’re on it. Our system will let you know automatically via email that your order has been received. Another will be sent to let you know that it’s being processed and on the way. You can check on your order by logging into your account and click on the ‘My Orders’ tab to see your order history.

Updating Account Information

You can adjust your account information by simply logging in with your registration details and clicking on ‘Account Settings’. This brings you to a page where you can adjust your most basic account information. For your own security, any changes in your billing address must match the details of the payment method that you choose. If you need to update the shipping address of an order you’ve just completed, please contact us directly so that we can adjust it before it leaves our store.
